Teen Wellness Orientations
Teen members ages 13-15 will participate in a four week educational session that will include training in nutrition, flexibility, cardiovascular exercise, and strength training. Students will know how to stretch properly, workout on select cardiovascular exercise equipment, and perform strength training exercises with proper form and technique. Each session lasts approximately one hour. You can choose to attend class on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm for four consecutive weeks or Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30am for four consecutive weeks. All members ages 13-15 must complete this training course in order to use the equipment in the fitness center. This class is free to our members. Students should come to class prepared to do a short workout each session. Registration prior to class start date is required. Please see one of our member service staff to register for our next session.

*Week 1 and Week 2 will be combined into one longer class in September due to the holiday. The class will be approximately from 10:30-12:00pm on Saturday, September 25.
YMCAs offer teen-oriented facilities at the Northpark YMCA and Ryan Family YMCA. In addition, other branches offer classes, activities and programs designed especially to keep teens active and strong.
