Programs for Youth Members
Volunteer Opportunities:
We are excited to share some unique opportunites to help us build a stronger community with you. We want you to play an integral part in this process. Your level of involvement is up to you. Here are some events coming up that you can be involved in:
1) Healthy Kids Day: Saturday, April 17th from 9:00am-12:00pm
We are seeking volunteers to greet members and guests at the door, help members and guest move from station to station, and/or co-teach a Zumbatomic Dance Demo with a certified instructor. There will be several meetings prior to this event to learn the routines for the dance demo. Information will be given upon request.
2) Benbrook Sprint Triathlon: Sunday, May 23rd from 6:30am-10:30am
We are seeking volunteers to help in the following ways: cheer participants on as they race, hand out water to participants on the course, direct participants to the transition area, pull chips at the finish line, and set up and tear down equipment for the race.
Teen Wellness Committee:
This committee will be the pioneers in creating wellness opportunities for youth and teen members. This committee will meet monthly or bi-monthly beginning in June. Committee members must have completed the youth and/or teen wellness orientation before participating in this committee.

2010 Land Aerobic Class Description
This schedule is subject to change to accomodate our construction schedule. Please check back frequently for changes.
Youth members are permitted to attend classes with their parents/guardian provided that you are disruptive to the rest of the class.
Child's Play
Child's Play is for our youth members ages 4-12. Participants will be engaged in organized game play with a warm up and cool down during each session. Activities are chosen by our youth members and can include games such as: freeze tag, crab soccer, dodge ball, and kickball. This class is free to our members. Youth members should come to class dressed appropriately. No open-toed shoes, crocs, heely's, skirts, or flip flops will be allowed.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-6:45pm
Youth Yoga
Youth yoga is designed for our youth and teen members ages 4-12. This class is designed to develop self awareness, physical awareness, and a love for physical fitness. This class is free to our youth members. Youth members should come dressed appropriately for yoga activities. No mat or experience required.

Family Yoga
Family yoga is a great opportunity for families to come together and strengthen their relationships through physical activity. Through basic yoga poses, partner poses, and game play family members can develop a better sense of well being together. This class is free for our members. No mat or experience is required.

CPR/FIRST AID/AED – Stop by the front desk for information on our next available class. Minimum age to complete course is 15.
