Nash Elementary After School Child Care is part of the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA. The After School program partners with the Fort Worth ISD After School program to best meet the needs of the children served in the Nash community. The Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA Afterschool program is a value driven program that puts a strong emphasis on our YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. We strive to provide every child with activities that encourage a healthy spirit, mind and body.
Our program consists of Eight Core Components:

- Character Development
- Health, Wellness and Fitness
- Homework
- Literacy
- Science & Technology
- Service Learning
- Social Competence & Conflict Resolution
As with any YMCA program, the YMCA After School-Age Care Curriculum is centered in the YMCA mission and program objectives. All of our afterschool programs are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Program Hours: School dismissal - 6:00 p.m.
Fees:
- Registration Fee: $20 for the Kinders Program
- Kinders Program - $45/week
- FWAS - no fee
- $20 at the beginning of each month for the FWAS Friday-only program
- No drop-in or day-to-day fee

Get to know our great staff!
Let our counselors create a great afterschool experience for your child! All staff are at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma. Background checks including FBI fingerprinting are done along with personal and professional references. A certified teacher from your school will also be on staff to provide homework help and enrichment tutoring! All staff receive many hours of training and are all CPR and first aid certified.
