Youth & Teen Fitness Orientations
At the Amon G. Carter, Jr.
Downtown YMCA teens are encouraged to become physically active and stay on the
path of health and wellness. The Youth
& Teen Fitness Orientation is a free session with a Wellness Coach for
members ages 8 – 15. Youth will meet
with a Wellness Coach to learn the fundamentals of cardio and strength
training, machine introduction, and gym etiquette. Youth that successfully complete Orientation
Program will earn permission to utilize the Fitness Floor.
*Parents are required to attend at least the first
5- 10 minutes of Youth Orientation.
*Must have a parent/guardian working
out with them while using the facility.
*Can use cardio machines &
perform in Group classes excluding BodyPump.
*A blue YMCA wristband must be
checked out from the wellness desk and worn during exercise.
*Must have a parent/guardian in the
building while using the facility.
*Can use cardio and weight machines
& perform any group classes.
*A red YMCA wristband must be checked
out from the wellness desk and worn during exercise.

Home School P.E.
Attention Home School
Parents! This PE class is designed to help your kids improve fitness and motor
skills. School-age children will get a structured class through individual and
group activities. Kids and parents will have the opportunity to interact with
other Home School families. Homework assignments will be given each week.
