At the YMCA, we offer many opportunities for you to reach your wellness goals, feel your best and enrich your life. Group exercise classes, personal training, FitStart and MobileFit are just a few of the ways the YMCA can help you improve your health and well-being.
i. Parent Accompaniment & Fit Start
Fit Start is a 12 week personal fitness program designed to help you achieve your personal health and wellness goals. It includes cardiovascular and weight training exercises, individualized appointments with a fitness counselor, guidance, motivation and structure. Family participation is encouraged! Children ages 9-12 may use the cardiovascular equipment with a guardian present. The parent/guardian must remain side-by-side with the child/children for the duration of their workout. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the circuit training or free weight area.
ii. Youth Strength Training For Teens Ages 13-15 Years
A unique instruction class on proper form and technique used in the weight area. Upon completion, a certificate will be issued and full facility access will be granted. Required for teens under the age of 15 to use the weight training equipment. Please contact the fitness center to sign up.
iii. Family Policies:
Children ages 8-up may use the racquetball court.
