From traditional aerobic classes to Zumba, the YMCA offers a variety of classes to engage those who want to get their work out in a social, group format. Classes are listed below. Not all classes are available at all locations.

Y-ABS Plus
30 min. Pilate/Yoga based class will focus on your core - abs, back, and more. Core muscle stability allows your body to function more efficiently, reduce the risk of injury and improve your posture.
Cardio/Step Fusion:
Classes are designed to give each participant a total body workout by incorporating strength work with cardiovascular exercises. Classes may include exercises with step, sports conditioning, kickboxing, hi/low and dance choreography. Express class means quick and intense. Great for all levels and tons of fun!
Cardio Funk/Salsa:
Come join the party, burn some calories and move to these Latin inspired dance routines that are taught in aerobic/interval sets with fast & slow moves that get your heart pumping & tone your body. All levels welcome!
Circuit Training:
The name says it all! An intense yet fun combination of cardio and strength training utilizing stations including our weight machines and fitness floor. People of all fitness levels welcome.
Core & More Express:
Build long, lean muscles in your arms, core, and legs. Come and experience how havnig a strong upper body and lower body can make you feel about yourself.
Double Y Step:
Using two step benches this class takes traditional step to the next level. Cardio lovers welcome!
Gentle Yoga:
Slow paced Hatha style yoga that prepares and conditions your mind, body, and spirit. a combination of floor and standing poses that improve flexibility, strength, and balance. This class focuses on proper alignment in the poses, listening to your body, and connecting with your spirit. Great for all fitness levels.
Guided Meditation:
Allow your mind to become calm and more focused by transforming the negative to positive. Breathing exercises will enable you to overcome stress finding inner peace and balance.
Guts & Glutes:
This class is all about firming the rear, strengthening the abdominals, and tightening and toning everything in between. What more could you ask for!!
Y Interval:
A high-energy, heart pumping, feet moving routine! With the combination of high, moderate and low impact moves designed to burn calories and muscular conditioning segment to tone muscles, your entire body will be conditioned and strengthened.
Move & Groove:
Come and have a kick n' time with some basic but pure fun line dancing, salsa, and other groovin' moves. What a great workout for any age! No experience necessary. Offered only the 2nd and 4th Wed. of the month.
OTB Y-Pilates:
(On the Ball Pilates) Transform the way your body looks, feels, and performs through this class. Work on longer and stronger muscles through the ultimate in core conditioning. Stability ball added to OTB to incorporate more core muscles and increase the communication between the brain and the body.
Power Yoga:
A challenging workout from the inside out! Work to create your highest level of energy and vitality while building physical strength and endurance. It is recommended that you be familiar with basic poses and have well-developed core strength.
Intro to Y-Step:
This is a perfect opportunity to learn the basic terminology and moves to step aerobics so that you can feel comfortable participatnig in this fun, cardio workout.
Y-Step:
A cardio workout using fun choreography on the step, motivating music & resistance training using hand weights giving you a full body workout. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Y-Strictly Strength:
A class for all fitness levels wanting to improve their strength. Class will move around a circuit (stations) working upper body, lower body, and core strength.
Totally Toning:
This class will utilize weights, stability balls, rubber bands and resistance tubing to target, tone, and strengthen major muscle groups. Every class will be different.
Turbo Kick:
You will kick, punch, and sweat your way to an increased level of fitness! A non-contact heart-pounding workout that uses athletic moves, sports drills, and so much more to take kickboxing to the next level.
Y-Yoga Express:
Power Yoga expresses! Get in, work hard, get out feeling stronger both internally and externally.
Y Yoga:
It's not Gentle Yoga, it's not Power Yoga... but somewhere in between. A physical class dedicated to improving strength, balance, flexibility, and breathing while reducing muscle tension and stress. All fitness levels welcome.
Y-Yoga (Hands On):
A hands-on approach to yoga providnig instructio and posture alignment. Great class for those new to yoga or those who need technique adjustment. Class only in January.
Road Crew:
Tired of looking at the treadmill? If you love the great outdoors, then this is the class for you! Whether you prefer to walk, jog, or run, you are invited to find the motivation you need from a group that is training to be their best. The group will meet at the Y at 8:15am to run/walk. Saturdays run will be with Amy to work on specific training. Workouts will be available at the Member Service Desk. Come join a great group doing great things to reach their potential. Challenge yourself continuously with local/DFW area races... you will be amazed by what you can accomplish.
Active Older Adult Classes
Silver Sneakers Cardio Fit:
NEW!!! This class is perfect for participants who are fit and active as well as those who want a pain free, energizing activity.
Silver Sneakers Cardio Circuit:
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout.
Silver Sneakers Strength and ROM:
A variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Silver Sneakers Yoga Stretch:
Move your whole body through a completed series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of motion. Focus on restorative breathing and relaxation.
