Group Exercise Class Schedules

From traditional aerobic classes to Zumba, the YMCA offers a variety of classes to engage those who want to get their work out in a social, group format. Classes are listed below. Not all classes are available at all locations. 

Here's a list of some of our classes: 

Y Basic Cardio - For the beginner or anyone wanting a low intensity class. Y Basic Cardio moves utilizing low impact and/or step, weights and stretching.

Y Box - A great workout for all levels utilizing Y Boxing, martial arts moves and training concepts. Learn high intensity kicks, punches and combinations. 

Y Pump - Challenging weight training class targeted to strengthen and tone all major muscle groups including the abdominals (no aerobics).

Y STEP - A cardio workout for all levels, utilizing a variety of STEP aerobics moves using STEP Reebok bench and motivating music.

Y Stretch - An hour devoted to increasing flexibility and range of motion with various stretches.

Y Stretch & Strength - An hour devoted to toning and strengthening the body and increasing flexibility with various stretches and floor exercises.

Muscle Mix - Challenging weight training class targeted to strengthen and tone all major muscle groups including abdominals (no aerobics).

Y Yoga - Learn various posture breathing exercises and relaxation techniques while increasing flexibility & muscle tone.

Y Power Yoga - This Yoga class integrates power moves and reverse poses along with the traditional Yoga poses. 

Y Pilates - A Pilates mat workout that strengthens and tones core muscles, improves posture and provides flexibility and balance.

Yogalates - A combination class of Y Yoga and Y Pilates.

SPIN - Come join us for the ride of your life! These 60-minute SPIN classes (on our new stationary bikes) will increase your cardiovascular fitness level, increase your strength and shape you up as you enjoy the ride! (Intro class is 30 minutes)

ZUMBA - A combination of Latin dance and other international dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Mambo and Samba. It is a dynamic, exciting, energetic aerobic workout...and it’s easy to follow! Come join the Zumba fun!

Circuit - If you need a lot of variety in your workout, circuit training is for you! Class alternates cardiovascular challenges with strength training for a total body workout. All levels.

YFlex - Total body workout designed to increase strength and flexibility using barbells.

Cardio Interval - Boost your cardio workout! The class alternates low intensity and high intensity moves. Step and/or floor are used.

Total Body - Cardio, muscle conditioning, and stretching all in one class! High intensity, low impact movements are performed on and off a step. Class utilizes a step, handheld weights and balls.

Belly Dancing - Come join us for the best abs workout of your life! Our instructors will give you a great workout while teaching the art of belly dancing.

ABS - Look for this absolute abs class combined with some of our regular classes. Guaranteed to strengthen your abs fast!

Silver Sneakers® l -  This class is especially for our senior population! Membership in Pacificare insurance program is preferred. Exercises include work for all major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power. A chair is provided if needed.

SilverSneakers ll® -  An advanced group exercise class designed for SilverSneakers students who have expressed a desire for more cardiovascular and muscular endurance conditioning and have experience with exercise activities requiring advanced levels of agility, balance and coordination.

Fit For Life - For beginners, seniors, or disabled members. Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and skills for daily living. Hand weights, bands, balls, and a chair for seated/standing support are used.
