YMCAs offer teen-oriented facilities at the Northpark YMCA and Ryan Family YMCA. In addition, other branches offer classes, activities and programs designed especially to keep teens active and strong.
Youth Fit
educates youth on how to safely use the cardio equipment in our Wellness Center, in addition to teaching proper fitness etiquette. Youth that successfully complete this program are granted permission to utilize the cardio equipment in the Wellness Center.
*Parents are required to attend the first 20 minutes of the initial class.
*Youth between the ages of 10-12 must be within an arm’s reach of parent while working out and are only allowed on cardio equipment.
*Youth between the ages of 13-14 must have a parent present in the building while working out.
Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday
Teen Fit
educates youth on how to safely use the weight machines in our Wellness Center, in addition to basic anatomy of the body. Individual must take Youth Cardio training level 1 prior to enrolling in Teen Strength training. Teens that successfully complete this program are granted permission to utilize the weight machines in the Wellness Center as long a parent is present in the building.
*Parents are required to attend the first 20 minutes of the initial class.
*Youth between the ages of 10-12 must be within an arm’s reach of parent while working out and are only allowed on cardio equipment.
*Youth between the ages of 13-14 must have a parent present in the building while working out.
