Swim Testing Procedure
For the safety of our members, children under the age of 14 are required to successfully pass a swim test before being allowed to swim in deep water.
Children who do not take or do not pass the swim test must always be within arm's length of an actively involved adult caregiver who is in the water with the child, or wear a properly fitted USCG approved personal flotation device (PFD).
If the child can stand with their entire head out of the water at the deepest point of the shallow area, a flotation device or caregiver involvement is not required.
Swim Testing Availability: Swim Testing is available during all open swim times, as long as both lifeguards are not engaged in lifeguarding the water.
Swim Testing Frequency: We will restart our swim test logs weekly.
Please encourage all children to check in with the lifeguard prior to getting in the water.
