The Ryan Family YMCA Child Watch is committed to providing a quality supervised, safe environment for your children while you participate in our programs or open facility activities.

Fee: FREE to all YMCA facility members- members are required to scan children’s card prior to entering Child Watch area. Individual members, guests, non-member program participant may use Child Watch (space permitting) for a $5.00 per child, per visit fee.
POLICIES AND GUIDELINES:
For safety reasons peanuts, nut products, gum, candy and popcorn are prohibited in Child Watch
Shoes and bare feet are not permitted on interactive play area. Socks are required at all times.
A maximum of 2 hours (120 minutes) per day, per child.
The Child-to-caregiver ratio is determined by the staff and is on a first come first served basis, Levels may not exceed 20 children to 2 staff members present.
For the safety of your child, we require that the parent/guardian sign their child in and out on each visit. A picture ID may be required. The parent/guardian must indicate which part of the facility they will be using in the event staff needs to reach them. For safety reasons, children will only be released to the same person who signed them in. (Only in an emergency will the child be released to an authorized guardian with proper ID)
Parents/guardians must be attending classes or using YMCA facilities to be able to leave their children in Child Watch. Parents/Guardians MAY NOT leave the premises during this time.
To provide quality service, and to ensure that the child-to-caregiver ratio is respected, parents must pick up their children at the end of their time limit.
Please bring your child in clean, dry, healthy and previously fed. Children that are sick will not be allowed in the Child Watch area. If your child becomes ill, you will be required to remove your child from Child Watch immediately. This includes, but is not limited to coughing, runny nose, diarrhea, fever and other contagious symptoms. Depending on the severity of the illness, a doctor’s note may be required for the child to return to Child Watch. At no time will staff be allowed to administer medication to children.
If your child is having trouble adjusting to the child Watch and is inconsolable after 10 minutes, you will be asked to return and remove your child or stay with your child at least 15 minutes to help them adjust to the environment.
If your child displays inappropriate behavior that cannot be solved by reasoning or time-outs, you will be asked to remove your child immediately from Child Watch for the remainder of the day.
Please label diaper bags, bottles, and any other personal items. The YMCA cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or broken belongings. Any personal belongings left behind will be donated to charity after 2 weeks.
We do not change diapers or assist in potty training toddlers . You will be asked to come in and take care of your child. Parents are responsible to change/discard child’s diaper. Changing tables are available in the Child Watch area bathroom.
Ryan Family YMCA Child Watch is not a licensed child care center.
