The Southeast YMCA Afterschool program is a value driven program that puts a strong emphasis on our YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. We strive to provide every child with activities that encourage a healthy spirit, mind and body.
Our program offers:
- Well trained adult role models
- All locations follow the Go Healthy Curriculum (www.empowerme2be.org)
- Academic assistance daily
- Teacher liaisons at selected schools who tutor 2-3 times per week
- Location on-site at elementary schools
Nutritional afternoon snack
Health & wellness activities daily
The Southeast YMCA provides care at the following schools:
- A.M. Pate Elementary
- Christine Moss Elementary
- Clifford Davis Elementary
- Harlean Beal Elementary
- M.M. Walton Elementary
- Morningside Elementary
- Sunrise Elementary
- W.M. Green Elementary
We pick up at Christine Moss Elementary and Morningside Elementary and drop off at Clifford Davis Elementary and Sunrise Elementary.
Program Hours:
Care is provided at your child’s school from the release of school until 6:00pm.
All of our afterschool programs are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Get to know our great staff!
Let our counselors create a great afterschool experience for your child! All staff are at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma. Background checks including FBI fingerprinting are done along with personal and professional references. A certified teacher from your school will also be on staff to provide homework help and enrichment tutoring! All staff receive many hours of training and are all CPR and first aid certified.
