For Additional Information please call 817-334-5228.A Child’s Place is an Early Learning Center and Pre-school run cooperatively between the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and the Southwest Branch of Metropolitan Fort Worth YMCA, accepting all children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years old. This partnership was formed over 20 years ago primarily as a resource for families of government entities. As years have gone by and the population of the government entities are primarily older adults with grown children; the center is utilized more and more by the public.
A Child’s Place is located right in the middle of the Federal Property in South Fort Worth and has the potential to draw families not only from the surrounding neighborhood, but all over the Metroplex because of the location just off two major highways.
A Child’s Place expects and maintains a highly skilled, trained, qualified staff of Teachers who all have Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood, their CDA or are in the process of obtaining one. A Child’s Place is a certified Pre-K program and was recognized for the fourth year in a row as a Pioneer in the Texas Readiness Program: Ready for school; Ready for life. An honor bestowed upon only 33 Pre-K programs in the area its first year in conception; including Head Start programs, ISD Pre-K programs and child care centers. A Child’s Place utilizes the Creative Curriculum approach to children and their classrooms, by involving the whole family, culture and traditions as well as using the principle that children learn through play experiences.
At A Child’s Place we believe in building strong kids, strong families and strong communities!
