The Westside YMCA provides teens with personal, academic, social and recreational opportunities in a safe and positive environment. Our goal is to help build developmental assets, enhance personal and social skills, develop leadership and responsibility, and promote self-esteem in young people so they can thrive.
The Westside YMCA requires children ages 10-15 to complete a youth orientation before working out on the fitness floor. An introduction to the cardiovascular equipment and Cybex weight circuit, which includes proper technique, seat settings and information of what muscles are being used will be taught.
